Dynamic would have to be one of my all-time favourite words when describing the small business. It implies movement, flow, and action-taking to keep our work moving forward.
Within the small business, dynamic can mean we can easily shift with the market or customer needs. We have the ability to quickly adjust the way we approach a project. When our work is dynamic, we are always throwing balls in the air, catching them and throwing them out there again.
Dynamic, at its core, implies movement, flow and action-taking in response to customer needs.
Maybe think of it like a netball game. If we watch a premiership level game, you’ll see that players are always on their toes and always moving to keep options open to the person with the ball.
Then when we watch a game with less experienced players, they have a tendency to run to one place, only to stand there waiting for the ball to come to them. The movement and flow of the game slows down dramatically, and the player with the ball can be called out by the ref for holding the ball for too long.
It’s important to keep things moving forward in our biz. Looking out and seeing what’s going on for the people we work with and seeing if there is some way we can help them out.
Having a dynamic business helps to stop our work from being fixed and unmoving. We can become more creative and come up with new ideas to put out into the world to serve the people we are here to work with.
