A book that’s been in my hot little hands this month is Get Rich Lucky Bitch by Denise Duffield Thomas. And one of the key takeaways is where Denise talks about making small incremental shifts in our lives that will allow us to feel we are living more in alignment with what our personal vision of rich is.
So instead of always using the “that’ll do the job” item, we level it up ever so slightly to the “Ooh! that feels a little fancy” item. Once we are used to it, we then level up again.
Instant coffee makes a shift to plunger coffee. Or maybe we invest a little extra in a new pair of shoes, knowing that they will last longer and we will feel amazing each time we wear them.
These incremental upgrades don’t just happen in our personal lives, they can also happen in our business lives to bring the physical into alignment with the vision we have.
A shift from the good old selfie to investing in a professional photo shoot, or an upgrade from a free app/tool to the paid version can be incredibly empowering.
All these little steps and small changes can help us to feel and express that we take our work in this world seriously, and that we want to build a thriving business.
